- The preserve is well vegetated with red alders, bigleaf maples, Douglas-firs and sword ferns

- Stream begins at the ravine headwall on the property flows east under the Burke-Gilman Trail then merges with the main stem of Thornton Creek

- 35 residential lots and 23 landowners indicated interest in placing a conservation easement on their property, easement covers 16 individual landowners’ parcels

- Wildlife on the property includes ospreys, owls, eagles, coyotes, raccoons and opossums
