Coastal Legacy Fund
Match Challenge
Pysht Estuary's Pillar Point Mark Johnsen
Through implementation of the Cascade & Olympic Agendas, Forterra & our partners are working to conserve and steward nearly 1.3 million acres of forests, farms, parks and natural areas and to enhance the vibrancy and livability of our communities. As part of this effort, nearly 10,000 acres of high-quality estuarine and upland forest habitat on Washington’s Pacific Coast, including 20 miles of shoreline, have been protected. These properties are incredibly diverse and productive and represent some of the best remaining estuarine and nearshore habitat in the continental United States.

The Wildlife Forever Fund has given Forterra an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, offering a one-to-one match up to $1,000,000 for every dollar we raise to care for these properties in perpetuity. We are actively seeking partners committed to caring for Washington’s natural resources to help us meet this challenge.
